Elviria's central location on the coast means that it is always popular with those looking for a short summer break and to be near the action of the popular holiday resorts such as Fuengirola and Benalmadena, but it is also near enough to the rolling Spanish countryside around Malaga and Marbella, offering gorgeous scenery and peace and tranquility away from the coastline. Popular areas close to Elviria for holidaymakers and homebuyers are Costabella, El Rosario and Las Chapas.
You don´t have to go much further than Elviria village itself if you choose not to. It has bars, cafes, restaurants, a post office, an international school (the English International College) for primary and secondary students, supermarkets and banks. Many properties in Elviria are walking distance to the beach and you can follow the beach and walk along to Marbella in one direction or the port of Cabopino in the other.
Elviria boasts the Santa Maria Golf Club a championship standard 18-hole course set amidst a wonderful pinewood and oak forest and which hosts celebrity days throughout the year where you will see many familiar faces.
Also very close by; Santa Maria and Santa Clara Golf, the Marbella Golf and Country Club and one of the oldest golf courses on the Costa del Sol, Río Real.
Down by the beach sits Elviria's most famous attraction – Nikki Beach. Throughout the summer months, Nikki Beach is one of the main party hubs found anywhere on the Costa del Sol. Its reputation is immense, with guests literally jetting in from all over the globe to be part of the summer celebrations. Near to Nikki Beach are a number of more affordable chiringuitos, chic eateries and traditional beach bars, all extremely welcoming.
Fishing trips and dolphin viewing excursions are also available. Most boat activities depart from the port of Cabopino, which is the nearest port. This picturesque port offers berthing for many visiting yachts and boats and also boasts some of the best beaches on the coast.
